Casting decisions and why?
During our OTS we decided to use few people that were actually in shot because of the nature that our non-linear plan is. For our female character we decided to use a blonde individual to boost the stereotype that shes in a weaker position. The person who will be acting as the female character is also experienced in acting themselves given that they have studied both media and drama at gcse and A-level standards. The main actor we used for the male survivor was someone who seemed to be a young adult onscreen and had an average build to make them seem vulnerable.
Scott Brown (right) looks a bit like Matthew Lillard (left) as they both have similar hair colour and style and general appearance. This is good because this actor starred as Stu Macher, the secondary antagonist in the 1996 slasher movie scream and acted as a victim in certain scenes
Oliver Dunn (right) looks a bit like Oliver Robins (left) as they have similar facial features such as freckles and rounded shape of the face. This actor stared as a child during their horror career which means that people may think that Oli could be him now. This in tern could get us increased viewings.
Charlotte (right) is one of our victims, she is blonde which makes her a stereo typical victim. In most horror films the blonde is usually depicted to be the least intelligent. This is because they are seen as being week and not being able to defend them selves.
We think Charlotte looks like Melantha Blackthorn because they both have blonde hair and blue eyes. Melantha is also a well known actor in horror films which also matches our genre.
