Saul bass

Picture
Saul Bass was an American graphic designer and academy award winning filmmaker. Saul Bass is best known for his design of motion picture title sequences and much more. Saul Bass became widely known in the film industry after creating a title sequence for Otto Preminger's "The Man with the Golden Arm" which he made in 1955. The subject of this film was a jazz musician's struggle to overcome his heroin addiction. Bass described one of his main goal for his title sequences as being to "try to reach for a simple, visual phrase that tells you what the picture is all about and evokes the essence of the story".
