It is essential that when you produce a horror film that follows your target audience in order to be successful. To achieve this we have made a questionnaire that will gain genuine opinions of the public. When we came around to interviewing people, we chose 4 random individuals from completely different area's and asked them question's that would go towards our final OTS.

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

We can gather from this that all of the people interviewed were 16 years of age. This helped us determine what age rating we would aim for, which will most likely be a 15 because this allows us to include a decent amount of content without going over the top with things like gore. It will also keep our film open to a wider audience because more teens will be able to go and see this film whereas an 18+ would make it difficult to rake in a decent crowd size.

What is your gender?

We gathered an equal halving of both genders so that we could gather opinions from both. This allowed us to ensure all kinds of opinions could be gathered.

What is your favourite genre of horror?

We can see from this that Zombie and Paranormal was the obvious favorites. Using this info we can see that zombie is a popular genre that people want to see which is a bit contradicting to most rating sites. This gives us more motivation to create a horror film that everyone will love. Paranormal is also another popular one however there has already been a lot of successful paranormal films out recently. This makes us want to steer clear of it because we want to make something unique rather than blend in with the crowd.

Do you like Horror?

As you can see here basically everyone likes a good horror film! This tells us without a doubt that we have to make our OTS horror oriented 

Should there be death in the ots?

We can see here that a lot of people prefer it when a victim is killed off during the OTS. The killing of someone here can help form initial tension and draw people in more. It also gives us the opportunity to introduce the killer/danger.
