Notes on lighting

In our OTS we have decided to make it based in a mid evening lighting as most of the shots were going to be filmed outdoors. during our shots we were able to film during a time where the clouds were particularly thickened therefore the lighting outside were relatively dulled down. However due to it still being quite light we used effects in post to make the time of day seem significantly later. This in turn also made the scene's lighting darker too.

From this image you can see that the scene is shot with that very effect placed on-top. This darkness choice automatically makes the blooded arms seem much more intimidating even though you can see that they cannot reach the lone survivor.

From this first person scene you can also see that a portable camera filter has been added on-top. due to the nature of it being in black and white, it automatically makes the lighting seem much more sinister than it would have looked. without this filter the scene would have simply looked like someone was running in broad daylight.
